We have worked with co-host Decom North Sea to assemble an impressive line-up, as the attached agenda shows. The event on 17 August will help supply chain companies target the multimillion-pound UKCS well decommissioning market more effectively by making upcoming activities more visible and sharing ways of overcoming contractual barriers.

I’m proud to have been part of the history of this great department, and excited to see what this young talent, under Kak Hiwa’s leadership will do in the years to come. The energy, enthusiasm, talent and innovation I saw first hand at KRG Department of IT was awesome, across all the teams, I witnessed passionate innovation and a bright example of what government could be. Results should always trump individual ego. Between Kak Hiwa Afandi and I, this can’t be further from the truth. I’m so proud and humbled to have founded this department 16 years ago, and I can’t think of a better leader to have taken the reigns for the past 10 years.Ĭontinuity is key, and the common story in our region is that when a new leader/minister is appointed they focus on purging & discrediting the past and to start again. It was Inaugurated in 2009 and since then has undergone a very impressive expansion project during difficult covid times. I toured the impressive HQ & data center with Hiwa Afandi and the DIT team, including some who were working with me over 15 years ago. KRG Department of IT is an institution to which I’m proud to be called a founder, especially because of the incredible effort & spirit of Kak Hiwa Afandi and the KRG DIT team have shown over the past decade. This week in Kurdistan I had the opportunity to visit KRG Department of IT one of KRG’s best & brightest stories.
